Founder of Yogasanteplus
I started practicing yoga 17 years ago, after many years of suffering from digestive problems. I tried many alternative treatments and it was practicing yoga that my intestinal problems were gone; it was then that I knew that yoga would become part of my life.
I got certified as a fitness instructor from the Montreal YMCA. I worked many hours a week in different gyms and at the same time, I trained myself hard beyond my limits. I was looking toward to have a great fit body and reach higher physical performance, even a performance on my yoga postures. Some years later after too much physical stress and an inappropriate diet, I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue.
I had to take a long period of time to rest and recover and took my yoga practice once more as an alternative therapeutic treatment not realizing a whole new world would be opened up to me.
It was during this period that the practice of yoga has led me to realize that my way of life was not an ideal one and that I should include the yoga practice and its philosophy in my everyday routine. Not only I completely recovered from chronic fatigue, but I also found a different life perspective, physical and emotional changes that strengthened my mind, my body, my immune system, giving me an overall feeling of health and wellbeing.
During this process of healing and inner self-transformation, I found my sense of being, who I was and what I wanted and would love to do in this world; I want to share this proven therapeutic system, this beautiful philosophy and way of life with others. I want to teach yoga and to embark myself on a personal lifetime commitment towards a spiritual journey and share the knowledge of the interaction between our body, thoughts, and emotions.
I successfully completed a Yoga Therapy Teacher Training with Yoga Master Sannyasi Vishnuswaroop (Mr. Thakur Krishna Uprety) at the Divine Yoga Institute Satyananda Yoga In Kathmandu Nepal, also took therapy yoga training with Isabelle Sarne at Gayatri center and Naada Yoga. Yoga is part of my life, it is more than a discipline; it is a way of life. Yoga has led me to the pursuit of inner transformation, health, and wellbeing.
My deep desire to help people and my community led me to complete a university degree in political science and finished my first-year study of Human Resource Management at UQAM.
I have always been passionate about helping others and making this world a better place.
